Prothea Technologies, founded in 2021, is a private medical technology company developing a bronchoscope device for the biopsy and treatment of lung cancer in a single hospital visit.
The company is developing a medical device combining a microendoscope and an image processing system enabling enhanced visualisation and in situ analysis of lesion structure at a molecular level, as well as a laser ablation catheter to enable treatment immediately following visualisation and biopsy.
