Kristin Thompson holds the role of Investment Director on the Innovation investment team since September 2024.
Kristin was previously Chief Operating Officer at the private investment company eureKARE, investing in more than 10 companies during her time there with several board positions. Kristin has a strong international profile as an American having worked in the US, Spain, Germany, and France.
She started her career as a researcher and focused on novel modalities such as AAV and Lentivirus, mRNA translation modifiers, CRISPR-Cas, and 3D cell systems. She then transitioned to various roles in Business Development, working on topics such as in-and out licensing, corporate restructuring and strategic partnerships, before moving into venture capital.
Kristin holds degrees in Biology, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a PhD in Molecular Medicine from the University of Ulm, Germany.
